# Editorial standards, sources and corrections

Our guides are published by Competition Group Ltd, the company behind The Comp App. They help readers understand published information and ask useful questions. They are general consumer information, not an assessment of the legality or safety of a particular operator.

## Sources you can check

We link to primary sources such as GOV.UK, the Gambling Commission and ASA/CAP for the points they support. Sources may describe different scopes: a voluntary-code commitment is not the same as legislation or an advertising rule.

Each guide shows a publication date and a source-review date. A routine site deployment does not make an article newly reviewed. These pages were prepared with AI-assisted drafting and checked against the linked sources; they have not been presented as independently reviewed legal advice.

## Data and calculations have limits

The app collects information published by the sites it tracks. Coverage is incomplete and source data may be delayed, missing or changed. We do not turn a missing number into zero or treat a sales snapshot as a final result in these guides.

Worked examples are clearly hypothetical and state their assumptions. We do not publish invented market statistics, customer testimonials, reviewer credentials or star ratings. Historical app images illustrate the interface, not currently available prizes.

## Commercial relationships and labelling

These guides do not contain paid operator placements or operator affiliate links. Links to regulators, support resources and the app stores are provided for context and navigation.

Any future paid placement or affiliate recommendation on this website must be identifiable where it appears, with the commercial relationship explained before the reader acts. A listing or commercial relationship must never be presented as a safety certification. Business relationships elsewhere in Competition Group do not make a listed operator independently approved.

## How to request a correction

Email [support@competitiongroup.co.uk](mailto:support@competitiongroup.co.uk) with the page URL, the sentence or figure in question and a source or explanation. Do not send sensitive account or payment information.

We assess reports against the source material and update content where a correction is warranted. Material corrections should identify what changed and update the review date. This initial edition has no published correction history yet. An operator may raise a factual issue without receiving control over our editorial conclusions.

## Responsible language

The website is aimed at adults 18+. We avoid financial-fix claims, pressure to spend and unsupported “best”, “trusted” or “approved” operator labels. We explain the option not to enter and provide [safer-participation support](https://compapp.co.uk/safer-participation).

The published [terms](https://compapp.co.uk/terms) and [privacy policy](https://compapp.co.uk/privacy) remain available separately. For a problem with a promotion rather than a guide, follow the [reporting guide](https://compapp.co.uk/guides/report-a-competition-concern).
